P1,448,888The MG S5 EV takes a more driver-focused approach to the compact electric SUV formula. Its rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor produces 168 hp and 250 Nm of torque, sending power to the rear wheels for a more engaging driving experience. A 49-kWh lithium iron phosphate battery provides up to 415 km of NEDC range, while DC charging can replenish the battery from 20 percent to 100 percent in as little as 24 minutes. Five selectable drive modes, one-pedal driving, adjustable regenerative braking, and Vehicle-to-Load capability further add to its versatility.
Its sharp exterior is shaped around what MG calls its Wind Hunter design, featuring an active grille shutter system that helps optimize airflow and efficiency. Racing flag-inspired LED daytime running lights and taillights give the S5 EV a distinctive lighting signature, while 17-inch alloy wheels with aero fins, roof rails, and a clean, aerodynamic profile complete the look. Underneath, a MacPherson strut front suspension and multi-link independent rear setup help balance everyday comfort with responsive handling.
Inside, the S5 EV focuses on straightforward technology and practical space. A 10.25-inch digital instrument display works alongside a large 12.8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the 60:40 split-folding rear seats help expand cargo capacity from 453 liters to as much as 1,441 liters. MG Pilot driver-assistance technology rounds out the package with features including adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, and a driver monitoring system.
